Need Your Best Burnout Photo - Holset (Ends: July 13, 2008) - UPDATED

Holset wants our help.

They are looking for a fun, action shot of a 2001 - 2006 Diesel Ram performing a thick, smoky, burn out. They would also like a SHORT story about the truck .

Picture must be available in high resolution.

The picture will appear in the new Holset "Dodge Performance" National ad for the Super 40 & Pro 52.

They would prefer a sanctioned Drag (DHRA or other) event. A safe environment is a must! No parking lots with cars or people in the area. Please no "Babes" or "Dudes." This is about power, fun and wasting some tires.

They need the picture by 10:00 pm Central time today (July 9)! Yep, today!

The winner will receive a Holset Mag Light (2 cell AA in gift box), Holset t-shirt (4 shirts total, pick sizes S-XL), the new Holset sticker pack, and National recognition.

Contact Robin Patton at rpatton@ix.netcom.com to get a ftp link to upload your high-resolution photograph.

I can't find my latest burnout pics from my 07, but here is a cool video from my 03. Also, a few pictures of the 07. Both trucks have a Holset Super 40 as the top turbo in a twin set.

I think BHaner is taking it at the moment. Did you just go do that just now? That is a sick burnout on youtube. Do you know what your tranny temp got up to there? Also, I liked the video of you giving smoking lessons to the guy in the white dually. Was that a camera mounted to your truck on the burnout video? Sorry for all the lame questions.

I just did the above 3 pictures.

The YouTube video was done with my 03 6 speed about 2 years ago. No trans temp issues there.

The new burnout didn't even move the trans temp gauge off the peg.

Yeah, there was a side mounted camera on the video, but for some reason, it only took sound... No video.

Thats actually not my truck,I took the photo, but, one that was at the show we attended for the Kecksburg,PA Volunteer Fire Department. The truck is owned by TDR Member "Cooter Bob"(aka Kountry Boy) or as he is known, the Keystone Diesel Performance Test pilot.I am not sure how many tires Sebek has to buy for him but the aftermath from that show was cord through the tires.

They do that show every year and do the burnout contest also.Cooter Bob's burnouts are legendary and shots of his truck have been seen at many shows.

I have more shots of that deal and to say he was tearing up the hides is a understatement,LOL..........Andy

And The Winner Is . . .

The winner of the "Holset Wants Your Best Burnout" competition is BHaner!

And the crowd cheered! BHaner's photo will appear on their new national advertisement. Both Holset and the TDR staff appreciate everyone's involvement.

More good news! No one needs to go away empty-handed. In the true spirit of fun, Holset is offering "T-shirts for Tires!"

* * Post your very best burnout, sled pull or off-road pictures of your Cummins Powered Dodge, any model year, in this thread from now until Sunday, July 13, and (most) every entrant will receive a Holset T-SHIRT and new Holset sticker.

RULES: ALL PHOTOS MUST BE IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT AND A LEGAL VENUE! NO EXCEPTIONS HERE.

Note: If your not running a HOLSET, you may not get a prize. If you're flying graphics or have posts with any other brand of turbo . . . well we would still like to see the pictures, but DON'T WATCH THE MAIL BOX TOO CLOSE.

HAVE FUN, BE SAFE, BE LEGAL, RUN HOLSET, GET SOME FREE STUFF! ENJOY THE WEEKEND!

HOLSET TEAM
* * *

The staff of Geno's Garage will probably be handling the mailing of your T-Shirts and decals so when you post your photograph, INCLUDE YOUR T-SHIRT SIZE below your photograph.

THANKS to Holset for continuing to make the Turbo Diesel Register the BEST Dodge Cummins enthusiast website on the web!
