Issue 56 of the Turbo Diesel Register will be mailed week ending April 26, 2007 from the printer in Anderson, SC. Please allow 10 - 14 days for delivery to your doorstep.
What is in Issue 56? Besides the big news of DaimlerChrysler's pending sale of the Chrysler Group, the excitement for Turbo Diesel owners came from the February Chicago Auto Show and the Dodge Ram 4500/5500 Chassis Cab announcement. Writer, Steve St. Laurent, attended the show and filed his four-page report.
Other articles of interest included in Issue 56:
- Member-to-Member discussion through each of the special interest forums
- Driving the New 6.7L Engine
- The Final Answer - Perfect Fuel Transfer Pump Article
- Dowel Pin Repair and Removal; and Installing a CP3 Fuel Pump
- DDP Injector Installation and Test on a Third Generation HPCR Engine
- An Extensive Test on Third Generation Air Intake Systems
Additionally, you will not believe the correspondence created by the "Lube Oil as a Commodity" article that industry expert, John Martin, authored in the last issue of the magazine. I've often said that discussing lube oil is like discussing religion - you can talk until you are blue in the face, but you are not going to change anyone's mind. Looks like I should have forewarned John. And I should have taken my own advice and used John's article for my personal education.
Finally, we share with you the results from sampling eight different lube oils. Will the results entertain, enlighten, and challenge your beliefs or make you mad? Turn to page 50 to find out!
As always, I hope you enjoy this edition of the Turbo Diesel Register.
Robert Patton Editor, TDR
P.S. A "TDR Member 2007" decal is included inside your magazine's shrink wrap. Let us know how you like it!

Looking forward to the new magazine as always. Lots of info on not just the newer trucks, but stuff of general interest to anyone owning a diesel. I'm especially looking forward to seeing how the cheap oil stacks up against the name brand stuff

This should serve as a wake up call for the Chrysler . For years loyal CTD fans have been asking for a 4500 and 5500 truck .Wonder how many sales were lost to Ford and GMC with its 3500 HD ? They need to read the forums for some input .

Good news. The old sticker is still around. We just added this one - with the year - for those who have been asking for us to ship one out in the magazines each year. This is just another option.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the TDR!

Always looking forward to the new issue. Just wish sometimes in came monthly! I end up reading the whole thing in a matter of couple of days.
I don't like the TDR decal as well as the original. I do wish that TDR would produce a "License Plate Frame" for those of use that live in states requiring front plates. Plus, I want to have folks behind me, that are down a bit lower than me, know that I am a proud TDR memeber!
Keep up the good work, you folks do a great job.

Now that there is a bigger than normal Rig fron Dodge, maybe the RV
manufacturers will notice. And build better RVs.

You have a great magazine. I especially enjoy the articles dealing with the 12 valve engine as I own a 96 3500 dualie ("Tubig"), my first diesel truck. Please, keep those articles comin'!
