» ATS - Diesels on the Mountain Truck Fest - July 19 - 20, 2008
By Robin Patton | Published 05/28/2008 | Events - General Diesel | Unrated
ATSJoin ATS Diesel for one of the largest truck shows in the country!

July 19 - 20, 2008 will feature the largest display of diesel power in the Rocky Mountain Region. Oil burners return to Thunder Mountain in Colorado to compete in sled pulling and drag racing. 2007's event was a great time, and we hear this year will be even better.

One of the crowd favorites, the Cummins Racing - ATS Diesel/Valvoline Premium Blue powered dragster of Scott and Dustin Bentz, will be on hand. This modified rail is propelled down the track by a Cummins ISB motor and was the first diesel dragster to make a 7 second quarter mile pass, doing so on BlueSun biodiesel!

All kinds of diesel truck owners will attend the event and weigh their skills against other bracket racers and sled pullers, as well as watch the action and check out the vendor midway. The truck pull features diesel pickup pilots pitting their skill and pulling power against a 40,000 lb. sled determined to make them stop on Bandimere's exclusive pull track!

Make sure to catch Colorado's premier truck event this July.

By Robin Patton | Published 02/28/2008 | Events - General Diesel | Unrated

Think your diesel truck is too fast, too powerful or too cool for the street? If so, make sure to check out and sign up for the annual TS Performance Outlaw Challenge April 25 - 26, 2008. The annual diesel drag race and sled pull begins with an open house at TS Performance in Bowling Green, KY where diesel truck enthusiasts and racers can see some of the latest technology and cool race trucks that are used to develop TS’s street and performance diesel products.

The Drag Race portion of the event on Saturday April 26, takes place at Beach Bend Raceway Park and will host some of the quickest diesel trucks in the nation. The race includes ET Brackets, a 12.0 Index Class, Pro Street, Pro Mod and Pro Dragster classes. After seeing some quick trucks, you can head over to the Sled Pull at the Southern Kentucky Fairgrounds, which will showcase some of the most powerful street diesel trucks that put out more than 1200 ft.-lbs. of torque. The classes include a Street, Super Street and Modified, as well as an 8500 Pro Farm Tractor Class.

Along with plenty of pullin’ and racin’, the TS Performance Outlaw Challenge will also host a show-n-shine sponsored by the Turbo Diesel Register and Genos Garage, burnout contest, a vendor alley and a dynamometer to test out your own truck. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded for each class.

» Diesel 101 - Carson Dodge - January 26, 2008
By Robin Patton | Published 12/15/2007 | Events - General Diesel | Unrated
Carson Dodge has initiated a "Diesel 101" course for customers who have purchased Dodge turbo diesel trucks equipped with the Cummins engine. The two-hour course covers many of the idiosyncrasies of operating a heavy-duty diesel pickup. The "Diesel 101" course is designed for those who have never owned a diesel vehicle. New diesel owners who have attended have given the class a big "thumbs up." Over 60 operating characteristics are reviewed. Each attendee is given handouts including Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) specific to their trucks, such as the one outlining Dodge's approved oil filters. There is plenty of time for questions. The class is held once a month, on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

For more information, contact: (775) 883-2020. Note: average class size runs 10 - 15. Reservations are required. Please reserve your space in an upcoming class by calling the Business Office of Carson City Dodge at: (775) 883-2020.

Next Class: January 26, 2008.
» Fourteenth Annual May Madness - 2008
By Robert Patton | Published 11/26/2007 | Events - General Diesel | Unrated

The Fourteenth Annual May Madness will be held on May 5–10, 2008 in Pahrump, Nevada.

Other brands of diesel trucks will be welcome in addition to Cummins-powered Dodges. We plan to hold most events at Saitta-Trudeau Dodge, at the nearby Pahrump Nugget (the host hotel), and at Preferred RV (the host RV Park).

This year we will again have high quality polo shirts with the logos sewn above the pocket. These shirts are suitable for more formal activities than T-shirts, and we got a great deal on them. You will like them!
