» TDR Ontario Dyno and Truck Show - May 9, 2009!
By Robin Patton | Published 04/7/2009 | TDR - Chapter Events | Unrated
Hello TDR Ontario!  For all those who are interested, on Saturday May 9th the Ontario TDR will be having a Dyno Day and Truck Show at Diesel Doctors in Georgetown, Ontario! Cost is $50.00 cash, and BBQ lunch and drinks will be provided by Diesel Doctors as part of that cost!

Please note though, there will be a max of about 30 trucks able to run on the dyno during the day! If you would like to run your truck on the dyno, please email me at tdrontario@gmail.com to reserve your spot! Please note, this is a first come first serve reservation! The first 30 people to reserve their spot will be the ones who get to run on the dyno! If all 30 trucks are run and we have room at the end of the day for a few more trucks, then we will be able to pick a few more at that time.

If you would just like to attend the event and talk with everyone and watch the trucks run, that is fine as well. We would love to have a show in the parking lot in addition to the dyno runs. Please note, if you are just attending, there will be a $5.00 charge for you meal.

If you have any questions, please let me know! I will do my best to answer them!

» Idaho Bombers - 20th Diesel Pickup "Dyno Day"
By Robin Patton | Published 04/2/2009 | TDR - Chapter Events | Unrated
The Idaho Bombers are planning their 20th Diesel Pickup “Dyno Day” for Sunday, May 17, 2009 - 9:00 a.m.

This is an opportunity for local diesel pickup owners to run their rigs on a DynoJet dynamometer to see what kind of power their rigs are actually putting to the ground. This event is open to all diesel owners. Trucks can be stock or modified (no studded tires, please). Each session on the dyno is targeted for $50.00 for three runs. Cost to redyno later in the day is $30.00 for three runs. A BOMB party will be in progress throughout the day in the parking lot.

This event is being coordinated by area Turbo Diesel owners (IDAHO BOMBERS) and is open to all diesel pickups.

Location:

Meridian Motorsports
521 E. King St.
Meridian, ID 83642
(208) 887-2058

For additional information, contact Lee Thompson (Muddy) at (208) 739-2520.

Everyone come on down and have a good time!!
» Welcome, Ontario Chapter of the Turbo Diesel Register
By Robin Patton | Published 03/10/2009 | TDR - Chapter Events | Unrated
We recently received the following report from the newly-formed Ontario Chapter of the Turbo Diesel Register.  If their first meeting is any indication, it looks like they're off to a great start.

Well, for TDR Ontario's first meet, we were graced with frigid -17 C temperatures before wind chill, and blizzard like conditions! In all, 18 people and 10 trucks showed to shake the pavement outside of the Chinese Food Buffet! We had first, second and third generation trucks - both stock and modified - there.

After introductions were made and we all had our fill of wonderful food, the room filled with conversations of our Dodge Cummins Rams including who has what parts and accessories, who has had problems and what can be done to remedy them, and what everyone's experience has been with their trucks.

I conducted a quick introduction and reviewed the benefits to being a member of the TDR in the way of discounts to both Kawartha Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Hot Rod Diesel. Both of these companies will be offering Ontario TDR members a discount on parts and labour!  Then our attention turned to planning for 2009.

In all, it was a great turnout for the newly formed chapter! We did have many people who were not able to make it due to the weather, but we are looking forward to seeing them this summer!

Thank you again to all that braved the weather and came out to support the event! It was great meeting you, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

» East TN Dodgers Chapter Event - April 26 - Third Annual Cumberland Gap Tunnel Run
By Robin Patton | Published 04/17/2008 | TDR - Chapter Events | Unrated
Join the East TN Dodgers on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for their Third Annual Cumberland Gap Run

The guys tell me they'll be at the Cumberland Gap State Park on the Kentucky side of  the Highway 25 tunnel in Middlesborog, Kentucky.  Meet up with them at the Bartlett Shelter.

The group will be grilling out and talking trucks.  They plan a cruise to the gap lookout and a smokey run through the tunnel, as well.

Sounds like fun!

Hey East TN Dodgers, send us pictures of the event! Have fun!
