» Transfer Flow Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
By Robin Patton | Published 05/19/2008 | TDR - Vendor Spotlight | Unrated
In 1983, Transfer Flow, Inc. began operations with just 3,000 square feet of space and five employees. Now in its 25th year, the company employs 90 skilled craftsmen—35 of which have 10 years of seniority or more—and has grown to include two facilities with a total of over 70,000 square feet. “It seems like yesterday that we first opened the door and walked into our newly leased building,” recalls Transfer Flow president, Bill Gaines. “With five new employees, we had to find business right away. We immediately got on the phones and started cold calling. As it turned out, we made a profit in our second month of business, and we never looked back.”

Transfer Flow’s main business in the early years was producing fuel tanks for motorhome manufacturers. A few years later, Transfer Flow started designing aftermarket fuel systems, which accounted for 54% of its sales in 2007.

Family owned and operated, Transfer Flow manufactures aftermarket and OEM fuel tank systems, fuel fillneck kits, and tanks for hydraulic and generator applications. Transfer Flow plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a day-long barbecue for its employees and their families. Transfer Flow, Inc. (800) 442 0056; www.transferflow.com.

Our congratulations go out to long-term Turbo Diesel Register advertiser, Transfer Flow!
» Applied Rotor Technology

Welcome to new advertiser, Applied Rotor Technology.

"I have owned two Dodge Diesel trucks for a total of 9 years and have loved everything about them except the brakes. My ’97 was used for towing and daily driving, and the brakes never worked well. I was replacing the rotors from heat damage more than once a year! My ’98 is now my daily driver as well as my drag-race truck. I use it in all conditions: on the drag strip where it runs 11.6’s at 117+ mph, in dyno competition putting out 700+ rwhp and 1200+tq, over mountain passes, towing, city and highway driving for a total of about 25,000 miles per year. I was in desperate need of a brake upgrade.

I heard about Applied Rotor Technologies through the Turbo Diesel Register, my best resource for what really works on these trucks. I spoke with Pad and ordered what I needed. We installed the new slotted rotors and pads over two years ago, and I’ve never looked back. Never have they overheated (try stopping a 6500lb truck going 118mph at the end of a drag strip!) or faded.  Even the pads lasted well over a year. Believe me, I’m not nice to them even on the street!

I can honestly recommend Advanced Rotor Technology’s products to any other Dodge truck owner. They make a superior product and I personally believe there isn’t a better braking system for our trucks on the market.

By Robin Patton | Published 04/1/2007 | TDR - Vendor Spotlight | Unrated

The Turbo Diesel Register is always looking for high-quality vendors to work with.  From the very beginning, Mark and Gina Chapple, owners of TST Products, have worked hard to bring high-quality products to the diesel market.  And we are proud to spotlight their company.

For those of you who have not have the good fortune to meet Mark and Gina, they own and operate TST Products, Inc. located at 7440 S. International Drive, Columbus, IN. They promise "more power in about an hour" for several makes of diesel engines.

TST designs, manufactures, tests, and markets power upgrades for turbo diesel engines used in many Dodge, Ford, and GM pickup trucks, motorhomes and medium trucks, plus heavy trucks with Caterpillar, Detroit and Cummins electronic diesels.

Their product line includes: performance upgrades for up to 200 additional horsepower and 600 ft lb of torque for ’89 – ‘07 Dodge Cummins trucks, gauges, filters, exhaust brakes, transmission parts, and clutches. Brand names offered include TST, Bosch, Cummins, Pacbrake, Fleetguard, Holset, ATS, Diesel Performance Products, Danin/Pricol, and many others.

"We extensively test all products before adding them to our product line; we do not want to sell anything that does not perform well for our customers."

The business was founded in 1995 by Mark Chapple, a former Cummins engineer with 33 years of service. Mark and Gina sold their first part at a diesel rally in July. 1996.

TST markets mainly by mail order and internet, and has approximately 500 dealers worldwide.

The owners and staff of TST Products, Inc. was proud to move into their current facility on International Drive, just  southwest of Columbus, Indiana in 2001.  Their business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Monday though Friday.  Tell them you heard about them through the Turbo Diesel Register!
