How to tell if Positraction

Newbie question. I just bouight my son's 1994 3500 and he bought a 1998 2500 4X4. Both CTD. We're a 2 CTD family now. Got a question. How do I tell if the rear end in my 3500 is positraction or whatever Dodge calls theirs. I know I could just dump the clutch and count the burnout marks but there has to be an easier way.
