Transmission parts

Having proplems with new Blumenthal transmission kicking out of 1st gear. OK when I put it into neutral after stopping.They have said I need a new assembly that the TPS fits on and have given me a bunch of part numbers.

Any suggestions if they are on the right track and is this a normal part to replace.
