Fan Pulley Bearing Replcement
Disclaimer: I did a search and checked the 3 pages found on fan pulley, though I could have missed something.
The fan pulley has developed a wobble to it (after 245k). The schematic (7-430A) from the dealer shows the bracket and set that holds the pulley on. It lists for $345.00!!!! The roller bearing by itself (part # 04429639) lists for $100!!!
So my questions are: Has anyone done this job?
If so, did you have to replace anything besides the bearing? Like the hub, retainer, or housing itself? I ordered just the bearing and am hoping I can get away with it....
Thanks
