Listen to that turbo whine

I purchased some back issues of TDR. I was looking through issue 26 page 68 showed how you coud easily remove the silencer ring on the inlet side of the turbo. you just remove the hose from the inlet side of the turbo. next remove the snap ring and the silencer comes right out! It sounds great! All that ring does is quiet turbo whistle. I guess some people find the whistle annoying. I remember reading somewhere that certain aftermarket air filter boxes let you here the turbo easier. I like listening to the ole holset doing its job!
