High EGTs
my buddy recently purchased a 96 3500 dually. It has 4" exhaust and an AFE cone intake and that is all that he KNOWS has been done to the truck. I drove the truck this weekend and it felt like it had almost as much power as my 2000 with a VA box on it. This weekend we were pulling a 2 horse bumber pull trailer with 2 horses (probably 3500 lbs) and a capri camper on the back (like 600 lbs) and his egts are running really high. His probe is mounted pre turbo, but he is seeing 1000 just running around and if you really get into it pulling hills it easily goes to 1200 and even up past 1300. His boost never seems to get over 25. Any body got any ideas what is causing these high numbers? any input woudl be great
