A few ?'s

I have a `97 3500. It appears to be leaking red fluid from right behind the brake master cylinder. The part where the master bolts on to. I think the system is called hydro boost...for the brakes. Does it take atf? What kind of money can I plan on spending for this piece? What is a decent manual for this? Haynes or what? What are the best front shocks for this beast? Thanks for the help!!
