strange tranny probs

Ok here goes first off I think this is a very informative site.Usually I just read but now I have a prob. The truck 96 auto 4" custom plate 1/2 way up BD tranny comp. MAGtech pan and diff cover exhaust brake,mystery switch,stock turbo,all the gauges.I think thats it. Ok now for the prob the tranny seems to shift from 1-2 but wants to hang in 2 till about 35 mph then shifts real hard into 3 then od just fine.When slowing down or stopping when it gets to 2 it shifts real hard again. Ok guys Help .
