Bucking and shakes at light throttle

Buddy has a 1997 3500 cummins with auto 4x4, truck bucks and shakes at light throttle, tranny is a BD with all the goodies (new), has a banks powerpack system. He has heard the throttle position sensor posibly or maybe throttle springs . Anyone have a answer for this problem.
