Pump Calibration Cost?

Whats a average price to have a pump balanced/calibrated and reinstalled?

Local shop quoted $500 total, seems fair but I've never had it done before.

Have what sounds like a miss out the exhaust that is obnoxious when under load over 1800rpm. Gets more prominent with larger exhaust housings, put on a 18.5housing today and it just sounds ragged.
