Couple Trans Questions. Please Help!

I had the local trans shop do a "shift kit" & turn up the line pressure in my old '99 & it worked great. Well I had the same thing done to the '95 & it still doens't shift quite right.
Does the temp sender have anything to do with the shifts other than OD?
If I start up & get right on the highway it shifts to 2nd normal but just hangs in 2nd for "way" too long, like a quarter mile. Doesn't matter if you are light on the throttle or stand on it. Go about 1/4 mile & it works great. If I leave the house, it takes me about 1/4 mile to get to the highway. It would only go in 3rd if you were to speed (limit of 25 mph) By the time I pull out on to the highway it shifts fine. If it gets in 3rd & I stop it will shift fine the next time. I also had it flushed & replaced the fluid with MOPAR brand ATF+4 at the same time but it has been 2-3 weeks since this was done & it is just now starting this in the last few days. Also rain this week & the in-out of OD started. Could the TPS be any of this when cold or first starting out? Thanks for reading my long post, look forward to hearing any & all ideas.
I kinda want to swap in a 6 speed but Love the way the auto worked in my other truck. If I could get this one to shift like it did I would be happy.
