message center lamps, heat and fan lamp location

Just got a 97 dodge and there are no lamps illuminating the fan and heat controls as well as the headlight switch. do these controls light when the head lights are on? if so I have the unit hanging out but don't see where the lamps go. don't want to break anything so thought i would ask.

does not look like the headlamp switch has a bulb, but if I am wromg please let me know where its located
