Dually tire rotation

If one were to put 2 tires on the left rear with 30 k more miles then the right side (1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter) would that be hard on the LSD? What Im trying to do is by a couple tires a year and put them on the front and rotate the older tires to the rear and eventually to the garbage. Any ideas. TIA Bill
