several questions
1995 5 spd. Read some interesting stuff in the archives. I was informed that if one puts larger tires ( from 245 to 285) I could take the truck to the dealer and they would recalibrate the speedo. I went there today and was told that the truck is to old and they couldn't do it. Said I would have to replace the gear driven sender in the trans. If that sounds right where can I get a sender that will match the larger tires?
Also checked on an overflow valve and the dealer wants $159.00. Can I get one from some other place?
In my service manual it says to use 'special tool # so and so'. Where can one buy these special tools?
Thanks for any assistance. Tom/Idaho
