Got my A/C in!

I'm not sure but I don't think many Cummins rams came without A/C, but mine didn't! However, putting in A/C isn't as hard as you may think. If you can find a donor truck, it's pretty easy. There's an entire box under the dash thats all inclusive and all the ducts run off of it and it has several vacuum operated servos. Well I switched that entire unit out for the A/C one, swapped the control panel (everything plugged right in!), the compressor bolts right on, new longer belt of course, and everything is prewired under the engine bay just hook up the switches! Now my truck had the round style connectors whereas the donor truck had oval, so I bought new switches from partsamerica.com because advance or autozone can't get them in their stores it's an online only thing.
The only thing thats wrong is not all the functions work, like I can't get it to recycle and I can't get it to come out only the vents. I believe the vacuum routing is different or it may be missing some vacuum lines. But I don't care, atleast it comes out at the feet and vent and it's ice cold baby! Justin time for summer. Well I thought I'd post in case anybody has a base model truck like me and wanted A/C but feared how much it would take to swap it over. All in all I spent about $600 for the entire thing, $400 for all the parts off the donor truck, $100 for new switches, seal kit, and belt. And it probably cost around $100 in fuel, refrigerant, and other miscellaneous things.
