newbie and i need more power!

i just bought a 98 qc 2500 4x4 5spd the truck had a ton of power with the 285/75's that came on it but of course those not being tall enough i had a 5 inch skyjacker lift and 315/75's installed and of course now i need some more power i think who ever had the truck before played with the injector pump alittle though not much and i'm tryin to decide where to start to get some more power out of it i'd like to start with the smaller inexpensive things first if i can also i have a HUGE oil leak down near the balancer some where i thought it was the front main which is what it looks like but i just read the kdp thread and it freaked me out can some one tell me what i'm lookin for exactly in dummy dummy terms if that thing has come out of the cover with out dissassembling everything? thanks
