Wants to run

I have a 1994 2wd 12 valve Dodge. When the ignition key is switched to off the truck continues to run for 3 to 10 seconds . I have read in the mag. about this but don,t have all my old mags ( due to space). The truck has never been a problem other than sending unit in fuel tank and tranny lines. Any help out there.
