Clutch Fork ?

I'm installing a NV4500 transmission in my truck. I'm almost back together. After getting the tranny in, I couldn't remember if I installed the clutch fork with the part numbers on the correct side. I remember looking at it and looking at the numbers and thinking it has to go in this way but then I got distracted by my brother in-law who was helping. I'm 99.9% sure it is in the correct way. I put the tranny in gear and had someone depress the clutch pedal and the output shaft on the tranny turned freely by hand so it is disengaging. My ? is will I know immediately upon start up if it is in wrong and does my test prove if it is installed correctly? Sorry for the long post. Thanks Pete
