Well tonight I pulled the #11 plate and installed the #10. To make sure that I didn't slip the clutch after install I measured the the distance between the front of the plate to the inside wall of housing with the plate full forward and then withe plate full back The measurement that should put the plate in the center is .382. I can't remember who told Joe D. or someone else the stock position is about .060 forward from plate being in the center of slots. I was going to set mine @ .040 forward from center, but what i did was add .020 to center value instead of subtracting.020 from the center value

. Well I didn't realize this until I went for test drive. EGT's were real good boost still able to hit 30 psi. I checked the governor arm it did not need adjusting it was hitting above the tip which it should since I went the wrong way with the adjustment. I put the original AFC spring back in, full travel of AFC arm is at 34 psi. I tried to set the AFC with regulated air but the hose I was using was to stiff due to the 35* air temp. Well I was still impressed the throttle rolled a lot smoother. I would say better than that of the #11 plate. With the #11 plate full forward and the AFC set I would see approx. 32psi of boost and about the same EGT's maybe a little higher. Tomorrow I will pull apart and set the plate .020 forward of center and see what happens.
