Transmission woes
ok i have had my new transmission for 8000miles now. my problem is that when i start off the line if i give it a constant throttle 1/2 or more the transmission will not shift out of second untill i compleatly let off the peddle. i called dtt and ran through a couple of diagnostics. we checked to see if the cable that runs from the peddle to the tranmition was to tight.( it was in spec) and we also checked to see if the dtt controll modual was putting out the right voltage( it was). bill then told me that i need to contact the person who put in the transmition and have him look at it. ( desert diesel parts,) dtt said they thinks it is the govenor silinoid in the transmition. has anyone here replaced themselfs and is it posible without any special tools? i have a trip to go on next wednesday and i wanted to do all the fluids in the transmition tomorrow anyways. does anyone think it might be something else?
