Holes in Air Filter Box?
Hello,
I was doing some work in my truck last night that required removing the air filter box. I have done this many times before but this time I happend to notice that there were 5 holes, each 1.25 inches in diameter, cut into the bottom of the air filter box. Is this normal or is this a modification performed by the previous owner.
The main reason I noticed the 5 holes, was that my air filter was covered with dried mud. I couple of months ago, I was driving on some very muddy gumbo roads in the Missouri River Breaks and managed to get a lot of mud in my engine compartment. I guess some of this mud made it through the 5 holes in the bottom of the air filter box and onto the air filter. I don't necessarily like the fact that this occurred.
Thanks,
Scott
