Stalling after lite throttle

98 12v DTT auto with 91% TC, 370's & HX40 is stalling while in gear after light throttle usage. I already know the TC is too tight, but it shouldn't make the truck stall.

Fuel return hose has been replaced. No visible (or smell of) fuel leaks. Timing is at 16* (haven't double checked yet) Idles at 7 to 800 in gear and around 900 in park. Fuel mileage is around 13.5 to 14.5 most of the time with exception of a long trip where i'll average about 19 close to 20.
