plate or no plate?

i was wondering what would happen if i took the #5 plate completely out?or move it back or all the way forward?right now i have my#5 in the stock place.also i read about gutting the afc.what are the benifits or problems with doing that?also i have gauges and i watch like a hawk.thanks

i now have 1995 2wd5speed,,,pyroand boost gauges ,kdp fixed , 4 inch turbo back,no muffler 6 inch stack bhaf remember rust never sleeps ,!!!love that cummins.
