i bought a kit from tst 2 months ago,and now im gonna put it in.they say go from the top i want to go from the side.what secrets do i need to know?what about shims?keep or not?do i need calipers?or count the clicks on the spring holders?or mark them before i take it apart?a little help?thanks

i now have 1995 2wd5speed,,,pyroand boost gauges ,kdp fixed , 4 inch turbo back,no muffler 6 inch stack bhaf remember rust never sleeps ,!!!love that cummins.
