Do you recognize this truck??? About to buy need info...

I might buy this truck in the near future.... The owner lives in Cali and bought this truck from the original owner.. He said it has after market injectors and fuel plate.. I was wondering if anyone recognized it could give me some info on it.... It is a 1998 12 valve 4x4 dually 5spd... I was also wondering how to tell if the KDP has been fixed and the 5th gear nut if it has been fixed.... Also how do I tell if it is a egr truck or not?? What are the disadvantages of having egr??
