Fuel Heater Removal ?

I put a FASS on my truck about 6 months ago, it doesnt use any of the factory equipment, so I figured I'd take it off. I got busy and didn't have a chance until now. My question is how many of you guys using a FASS that doesn't use factory equipment took it all off? Also, if I take the fuel heater off, will it throw a code?
