Tremendous Loss of Power

I have a 1997 2500 12V 5-speed with 145,000 miles on it. Recently, I have a tremendous loss of power and the engine governs prematurely. In 3rd gear, it tachs up to only 2200 RPM, and in 4th and 5th only to 2100 RPM. It feels like a slug and I never feel that rush of power from the turbo anymore. In 1st and 2nd gear, it’ll tach up to the normal 2500 RPM. HELP, I love my Diesel!
