Genuine Cummins parts now made in China
I decided that with nearly 300k on my lift pump it was time for retirement. The last one started ticking at about 320k, so I think it is good preventative maintenance. I called Cummins Southern Plains and was pleased to hear the price was $84 and change, I'm sure I paid over $100 for the last one. Now I know why, it has "Cummins ABFJV Made in China" on the side. The original and the first replacement Have "Carter Made in USA" on them. I'm stuck with it, but if I make 900k miles on this truck I'll devinitely know better next time.
