4 ring accumulator piston 46/47 RH/RE
Are there any concerns or long term problems when using a billet aluminum 1-2 accumulator piston with the 4 steel rings...in the aluminum transmission body? Just curious as I recently installed one in my 46RH and couldn't help but notice the OEM was plastic with teflon (or whatever) rings. My piston bore looked new.
I just wasn't sure if the steel rings would eventually wear out the cylinder and ruin the transmission for a future rebuild. Maybe I'm not familiar with how much the 1-2 accumulator piston moves or how fast.
