Picked up my 04.5 Yesturday, 1st impression

Felt like I was borrowing my dad's truck. Very clean, quiet. The clutch is so soft. It's gonna take some getting used to a 6 spd. Definitely better visibility through out the truck. But mostly I expected more seat of the pants get up and go over my 12V with 208K miles.
My 12V feels like a hot rod compared to the new one.

Maybe it is and I didn't realize it?
Of course the 3rd gen steering is much tighter, and the cab is roomier for the kids and over all it's just a beautiful truck and did I mention quiet? But, wow I am just really surprised my 12V has more power. I will be sad when the 12V sells. Can't keep both.
