12v six speed G56 conversion
I've searched and haven't found verified way to make the speedo work with a 6 speed swap in a 12v truck.
AFAIK the '97 and earlier trucks have the vehicle speed sensor in the tailhousing of the transmission for the speedo and a wheel speed sensor in the diff for the ABS. The 98 and newer trucks have the VSS/WSS in the rear diff. Thus the NV5600 and G56 have no provision for the VSS.
Does the transfer case from a 12v 4x4 have the VSS in it? Does the transfer case from a nv4500 bolt onto a nv5600/g56? Is there an electronic way to get the ABS signal to run the speedo?
Thanks, Eric
