Tranny Cooler Question.

I've got a 94 12 Valve after a trip this past weekend and almost loosing the tranny due to that great plastic clip design I change over to hydrolic hoses from the cooler to the trans lines. In that process I must hace dispurbed the cooler jusr enough at the end where the hoses attach to provide myself with a nice leak. It was right between what I thought was a brace for the two lines but to find out after cutting it its some kind of bypass from one to the other... What the sam hell is that for? I was able to extend the hoses and with just enough room as its in such a fine place to work reattach the after cutting the pipes back.. Is this bypass needed and does it searve any real purpose???

It seems to run down the raod alright and even shifter a little better into lock-up and overdrive.. Is it going to do any harm not to have that silly little bypass pipe in there??

Joe.
