Friday the 13th
So i had the day off from work today, and decided to install the DDP delivery valves that have been on the shelf for about a year.I changed the engine oil and trans fluid,no problem.I installed the delivery valves,no problem.I went for a test drive, the engine running good, running a little more boost.I didn't do any real heavy throttle driving, just normal stuff,no WOT.Long story short, when i got home I noticed a leak.I opened the hood.I found the coolant overflow tank lid off,and a coolant/oil milkshake in the tank and blown back on the turbos.Head gasket.
Now as I think back on it,I had thought the engine smelled hot a couple of times, but had never seen any leaks. So now I have to decide on what to do.The head is O-ringed,and held down with studs.I am running BD twins with some pump work.I have a 50psi boost gauge and can bury the needle. What do you think,is it time for fire rings? Thanks for any help.
