International Block?

Did Cummins use International to cast our blocks? Have I been living under a rock and never heard about a Cummins/International joint venture?

Behind the timing gear housing there is a International truck symbol cast into the block. Just above the crank, behind the cam gear and "made in USA" on the timing gear housing...
