47re maintenance

I am going to be changing the tranny fluid in my trans soon. While im in there I am going to put a new filter and adjust the bands. I was just wondering if there is anything else I should do while im in there? I going to install a drain plug but other then that, thats all I can think of.

I was considering a shift kid but cant seem to find any solid info on them as far as the exact pros and cons. If I did go with one which one (sorry if im starting a war)? Also how much tuning is involved? If anyone had some input that would be great thanks.
