2-lift pumps, 1-overflow and everything but the sink??

I get a harsh popping under full throttle around 2700 rpm. If I gradually run the rpm's up it doesn't do it, however runs a little rough. Fuel pressure is a little on the low side of specs but still within. Under full throttle drops to around 13-14 psi. Here's what I've tried... 2-lift pumps, 1-overflow (and checked again with overflow off 97'), timing is at 16 deg, I ran the valves last weekend, all supply and return lines have been checked, fuel filter, pre-heater screen, screen in tank. I'm out of ideas....maybe I just need a bigger and better pump

Apparently this little 175 pump isn't cutting it! There's a twelve pack coming to who ever can solve this
