HIE turbo off a 8.3

Hi guys, I have already asked you guys what torque plate to use on my '97 for some serious power gains and it looks like a bigger turbo is in order. I happen to have a H1E from an 8.3 lying around with a 22cm2 nonwastegated housing on it. I know the 22cm2 housing will be too big for my application. My questions are: Is this turbo as big or bigger than an HX40? Will it adapt to my exhaust manifold? And is it even worth trying to use? Any help would be appreciated.
