VB Mods

I just bought a 95 2500 CTD Auto and have started buying componets to start bombing. TST #6, Governer Spring Kit, K&N Filter and a Transbutty VB Kit. I probably should have done more reading before I purchased, but was excited and ready to bomb.

I'm just looking for a little more power and a better shifting trans. After reading the forums for the last couple of weeks I'm confident that I made the right choice on the engine parts, but I'm not sure about the Transbutty. The truck has 65,000 on it and the trans shifts Ok with a little TCC shutter if you give it too much throttle at low RPMs. Once the trans needs a rebuild I'll probably go with a DTT trans and converter, but for right now I just want crisper, better time shifts and a little more pressure to help the trans life. After ready the instructions for the Transbutty I'm confident that I can correctly do the installation, ( I worked at a transmission shop for a while after High School and was known as MR. Torqueflite for a while, as I built a number of them for local drag cars.) But I'm concerned that this might not be the best kit for me and once installed, the VB is probably not worth a core exchange on another brand.

I don't want to start a brand arguement. But would like input from some body who has used or knows of this product. Should I install it now or turn the line pressure up a little and do the whole trans at later time? I also plan on installing a 3way switch on the TCC to prevent it from seeing the low RPM torque.
