5th gear fix

I'm new to your forum, old to TDR--five years. You've probably hashed out this issue before, but do it one more time for me! Question: The revised-fifth-gear-nut situation--was it a warranty problem that the dealer had to fix for free? I have a '97 diesel Ram. I also pay for the extended warranty. Thanx. Jim
