Ideas on KDP fix
I'm keeping the KDP on my mind lately and need to get it fixed. In some of your expert opinions what is the best fix. The KDP jig seems to be easiest and fastest. Does the drilling get metal shavings in the oil pan? What about the method that you take the gear cover off and put a tab over it with a bolt holding the tab in place? This looks more time consuming but it also looks like a good fix. If I go this route are there any special tools I need to take off the gear cover or to gain access to the KDP? Do I need any replacement gaskets when putting it back together. How much work is involved in this? I've also heard of a replacement gear cover that will keep it in place. Give me your ideas
Thanks,
Greg Davis
