Lightbulb Killer Dowel Pin - Tab Instructions for you !

I would be happy to forward a diagram of how you can make your own Killer Dowel TAB to anyone who'd like it.

The diagram (Microsoft Word Document) shows a picture of what the TAB looks like installed and a "blue print" sketch of the actual size and shape of a suitable tab so that you can make your own.

I got these from Joe G. Full credit and Thanks to Joe! I'm sure he wouldn't mind me forwarding them to anyone who'd like them.

As Joe pointed out, there is an ADVANTAGE to fixing your Killer Dowel Pin (KDP) with a TAB instead of drilling and tapping your Timming Flange. When Joe installed his KDP TAB, he discovered that the Flange Bolt adjecent to the Killer Dowel Pin was actually LOOSE itself. Had he choose to not remove his timming cover and fix his KDP using the drill and tap method, he would not have discovered the loose flange bolt ! Losing the Flange Bolt could be just as devistating to your gears as losing the KDP... I'm sure Joe isn't the only one with a loose bolt. (No pun intended :) )

I'm not taking the chance. I'm going to fix mine using a TAB!

If you get tired of waiting for a JIG or trying to figure out how to get on a waiting list, or would like to try fixing your KDP using a TAB please e-mail me and I'll forward the instructions to you.

Thanks again Joe!! :)
