Missing like on 3 of 6

I got a buddy with a 95 with a issue. Can ya folk help. This is what he sent.
Hey guys, I've got this 95 12 valve. Once in a while on random occurances after I've driven some where on a short trip and get back in it to go home it acts like it's only running on 3-4 cylinders. It will start up ok until I get moving. Then it acts up and runs real rough. There is a poping noise coming from the pump. Then I'll pull over, shut erverything down. Let it sit for about a minute or two and then it will run fine. It did this several times last year when the weather was warmer. Usually it does it when I go to Eastern Washington in the summer with my camper on.
It'll run real rough and make all kinds of noise. Then I shut it off for a few minutes and it'll run fine.
Any suggestion?
