torque plate swap

Have any of you guys out there gone from a #8 torque plate straight down to a #5? If so I would like to know how it is (meaning seat of the pants feel). Is there a big difference or only slight?

DiPricol boost pressure and exhaust temp (pre turbo). 4 inch straight pipe turbo to tail. TST # 8 plate AFC spring kit.
