Minor power upgrade recomendations.

I am writing this for someone who has a 96 Automatic Ram. He is not a memeber yet, but is interested in adding power to his cummins. As you see in my sig below I do not own a 12 valve nor an auto so I am least qualified to answer questions.

His truck is 100 % stock, His questions are, what mild power upgrades are available and what is the minimum power increase to start modifying the tranny. I have mentioned guages, but thats about all.
