Who's monitoring the temp of a 5sp?

I would like to hear from anyone who's got a temp gauge hook'ed up to the 5sp manual tranny. I need to know what is the "normal" operating temp of the this unit & what kind of fluctuations people are seeing under various loaded & unloaded conditions? At what temp should one worry regarding a high temp condition etc?
