Covering Oil Pan

Has many of you done this ,and is it a noticable difference. I have to say at the lights it is an "annoying noise" when a vehicle pulls alongside and you get the reflection, of what they hear also.
To do the lead sheeting, what are the suggested adhesives? Thanks RJ
